February 22 is National Margarita Day, so of course we’re gonna have a margarita recipe this week. Sure, this isn’t a “traditional” margarita, but who doesn’t like churros? The tequila blends well with the Licor 43 and Irish Creme, replacing lime juice and Tuaca is nice substitute for triple sec.
Ever wonder where the Margarita came from?
Though we may never be sure of its true origin. The most popular anecdote claims that Carlos “Danny” … Read more

If you’re rooting for the Colts this Super Bowl Sunday, mix up some blue cocktails to show your love. This cocktail is perfect for making in a big batch and serving out of a punch bowl or pitcher. Easy Super Bowl entertaining! This recipe is from Herradura, which is appropriate since it means “horseshoe” in Spanish. Photo by Pirate Alice.

The watermelon is cool and refreshing, while the mint and basil balance the sweetness and give it a fresh, crisp herbal note. You … Read more

The holiday has been celebrated in California since 1863, as a symbol of solidarity in response to the French occupation of Mexico from 1863-1867.
Cinco de Mayo is the largest tequila consumption day in the U.S. In fact, Americans can’t get enough of Mexico’s native spirit. Since 2002, U.S. imports … Read more

Even if you won’t be rooting for Arizona on Super Bowl Sunday, an Arizona Margarita is a great game day cocktail.
It’s made with prickly pear juice, which comes from a cactus common in the Southwest. Supposedly, prickly pear juice is great for preventing hangovers. Not sure if that’s true, but it’s worth a shot!
