If you’ve been Italy, you’ve most likely had an after dinner drink, the Sgroppino. The lemon and alcohol help to cut through anything you may have ingested through out the evening and help settle your tummy. Tomorrow is Bastille Day! In honor of French Independence Day, this week’s drink is the Champagne Cocktail. The Champagne Cocktail combines two of France’s best contributions to the world of booze – Champagne and Cognac! While the recipe says that the Cognac is optional, it really isn’t. This Sunday marks the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. To honor the occasion, our friend and fellow San Franciscan, Camper English, created The Golden Gate 75. A riff on the classic French 75, Camper replaces the Gin and Lemon for Campari and Orange Juice, giving the cocktail the same hue as the famous span.
