It’s that time of year again, the end of Day Light Savings. DLS was instituted in the last century so some rich folks could have an extra hour of day light after work so they could golf. Yay! The concept of this drink was based on Spanish Horchata (rice milk). However I have been longing to work with Pumpkin for a couple years now and this Halloween gave me the perfect excuse. The Pumpkin really goes nicely with the rice milk and the Bourbon blends in perfectly giving the overall profile nice warm tones.
2 parts Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
3/4 parts Heering Cherry Liqueur
1 dash Fee Brothers Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters
2 parts Milk Stout Beer
Combine Basil Hayden’s, cherry liqueur and bitters in a mixing glass.Add ice and shake.Roll in the milk stout beer. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and cherry on top.

1 ½ parts Tequila Avión Anejo
1 part Apple-flavored liquor (can use apple from concentrate as a sub)
¼ part pear juice
Splash of egg white
Dash of fresh lemon
Pinch of ground cinnamon
In a shaker add all ingredients over ice then shake and strain. Harvest Moon can be served either straight up or on the rocks and garnish with a thinly sliced pear.

1 oz Baileys Original Irish Cream
.5 oz iced coffee
1 oz Bulleit Bourbon
1/8 oz 2:1 raw sugar syrup
3 mint sprigs

5 dashes Angostura Bitters

1 ½ oz Home-Spiced Flor de Caña (spice recommendation: vanilla bean, nutmeg, cinnamon)
3 oz hot water
½ teaspoon of butter on top
1 cinnamon stick

.75 oz lemon juice
3-4 oz hot water
1 cinnamon stick, cracked
