Margaritas are a great way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. But they’re not the only way! Here’s one of my favorite tequila cocktails, the Paloma. This cocktail is a tall, cool and not too sweet. Tequila, lime and grapefruit juice (or soda). So nice on a hot day.
Ingredients:
2 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)
1 oz lime juice
4-5 oz grapefruit juice or soda

Piña Perfection Margarita

Ingredients:
1 ¼ oz Tequila Don Julio Añejo
½ oz fresh lime juice
1 oz fresh pineapple juice
¼ oz simple syrup
Sprig of fresh rosemary, garnish

Chipotle Sangrita
Ingredients:
2 oz tomato juice
1 oz chipotle mix*
¼ oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
¼ oz A1 steak sauce
Dash Worcestershire sauce
Dash black pepper
Dash celery salt
Pinch of salt
Directions:
Pour all ingredients (except for Corzo Silver) into a large shot glass and gently stir. Pour Corzo Silver into a separate shot glass. Serve with lime wedge and enjoy by sipping side-by-side.

May 5th marks the day that Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo to commemorate Mexico’s victory over the French in 1862. Interestingly, Cinco de Mayo is not celebrated in Mexico. Here are a few little known facts about Cinco de Mayo:

Tips for Spicing Up Your Margarita
If you love the spice, as I do, why not add a little heat to your Cinco de Mayo margaritas? From easy-peasy to a wee bit involved, here are some ways to spice it up:

Instead of a plain salt rim, use a combination of kosher salt and cayenne pepper OR kosher salt and chili powder to rim your glass. We have simple instructions on how to rim a glass, if you need a refresher.
