Mavea Elemaris XL Water Filtration Pitcher

We recently tried out the Mavea Elemaris XL Water Filtration Pitcher for our water drinking needs.  Living in San Francisco we have great water, which is some what negated by the pipes in our 1920s era building.  This pitcher from Germany helps get rid of some that bad stuff with a state of the art filter that requires no pre-soaking and last about 90 days.  Along with it’s European design and 5 color options, the Mavea Elemaris XL features nifty hole in the lid that closes when the chamber is full and a digital meter to tell you when to replace the filter.  Ours went to zero in roughly 90 days.

We really like the ease of use, comfortable handle and the color choice.  The filter housing does take up a lot of room so I do find it needs to refilled a least once a day.  The only real complaint is that the handle can leak water when the top chamber is totally full.  Not a deal breaker though.

At $35 on Amazon this is a great way to enjoy fresh cool water and fresher ice cubes.
