Happy National Daiquiri Day!

Named after the Cuban town in which it was born around the Turn of the Century, the Daiquiri was invented by American miners and Cuban doctors as a way to fight disease. It is from this cocktail that it’s many, more fruity & frozen variations have arisen.

  • 2 oz light rum
  • 3/4 oz lime juice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Lime slice for garnish

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Mix well and stain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Im sipping this drink as I post. very tasty, I dont like sweet drinks but I would add a touch more sugar to this recipe. all in all, YUMMY.

btw, I used real lime juice, not the bar syrup kind.

… just made my 2nd. extra sugar helped but it was getting too sweet. so, i added a splash of seltzer. PERFECT!
