dotw logoI love cocktails where fresh fruit and a muddler meet at the bottom of a glass and Jason Lara’s Ginger Rogers cocktail could be a new love. Originally served at Social Hollywood in Los Angeles, Lara’s cocktail mixes Campari with muddled strawberries and clementine oranges making for a light, colorful Summertime treat.   • 2 ounces Campari
  • 1 whole strawberry
  • 5 pieces of clementine
  • 3 ounces of orange juice
  • Ginger powder
  • Splash of 7 Up


Muddle the fresh clementine and sliced strawberry. Add ice and pour Campari, orange juice, and a splash of 7 Up into a cocktail shaker. Sprinkle a pinch of ginger powder on top of the ingredients. Shake well and strain onto the rocks in a highball glass. Garnish with a pansy and serve.

Shake ingredients with ice, and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist and a fresh basil leaf.
