We recently met bartender Nick Strageway at San Francisco’s Tick Dog to learn about his new line of all natural vodkas, Absolut Craft. Created by a master bartender, Absolut Craft was made specifically for bartending pros.
I absolutely loved the bottle upon seeing it. From the Art Deco building on the back to the palm tree, flamingo and rising sun on the front, the bottle sums up Miami. The Absolut Miami screams cool and fun.
This Vodka hails from Hawaii! I have to admit the fact that Pau is made in Hawaii and has an awesome bottle (more on that later) made me want to like it even before I even tried it. But, the good news is that I liked it just as much after I tried it. Pau Vodka is made by Haliimaile Distilling Company in upcountry Maui and distilled from Maui pineapples.
This Italian Vodka is a joint venture of the Arrigio Cipriani of the Cipriani family (known for Harry’s Bar in Venice and other high-end Italian restaurants) and Lapo Elkhann of the Fiat family. Clearly, these two are quite the tastemakers with the Cipriani restaurants being the go-to Italian restaurants in Venice and New York and Fiat making some of the most sought after cars in the world. From my research, it also appears that Mr. Elkhann is quite the snazzy dresser, making global best dressed lists year after year.
