    Dutch Negroni

    This week’s drink is a twist on the classic Negroni. Rather than using a London Dry Gin, this Negroni uses Genever, from which Gin originated.

    Ingredients:
    1.5 oz Bols Genever
    1 oz Campari
    1 oz sweet vermouth

    Directions:
    Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a pre-chilled rocks glass. Garnish with a large orange zest.

    Tequila Romero

    Ingredients:
    2 oz Revolucion Anejo
    .5 oz sweet vermouth
    1 oz rosemary-infused honey*

    Directions:
    Build ingredients in glass of your choice. Add 2.5 oz. of very hot water from the kettle. Stir. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary pierced through a lemon half wheel.

    1 1/2 oz scotch
    1 oz sweet vermouth
    Dashes Angostura Bitters

    Directions:
    Combine ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, shake and strain into a chilled martini or cocktail glass.

    Lucky’s Manhattan

    Inspired by HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and the Lucky Luciano character played by Vincent Piazza. The cocktail combines Basil Hayden’s warm and spicy Super-Premium bourbon with sweet maple syrup and a cherry for a wonderful libation to enjoy during the show!

    Ingredients:
    1½ parts Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
    ½ part sweet vermouth
    ½ part dry vermouth
    ½ part maple syrup

    Inspired by Cynar, I concocted this after-dinner variation on the Manhattan cocktail.

    Cynar is a bitter liqueur made from artichokes and herbs, so this has a little bit of a vegetal flavor you don’t normally find in a Manhattan. It’s a digestif, meaning you drink it after a meal.
