Reader Maderia (kinda like the wine) wanted to share this warm holiday treat with everyone. The combination of spiced rum and apple cider conspire to warm your insides on a cold winter day.

We always say the holidays are made from punch. From the book Hot Toddies: Mulled Wine, Buttered Rum, Spiced Cider, and Other Soul-Warming Winter Drinks.

Not for throwing! This tasty holiday treat is for sipping only.

Ingredients

1 ½ oz gin
½ oz anise liqueur
½ oz cream

Instructions

In a mixer with ice, shake ingredients well. Serve in a chilled cocktail glass.
