Inspired by shark week on the Discovery Channel, this is what my roommates and I pieced together on HOT afternoon. Super sweet, super strong, and sea-foam green.

Campari Citrus Infusion

Memorial Day weekend is upon us, thus kicking off the Summer Season. Even if Summer doesn’t “officially” begin for another month, it’s time to break out the grill, coolers and other gear for outdoor entertaining. Memorial Day is right around the corner and our friends at Stoli have made a bunch of refreshing new summer cocktails featuring new Stoli Blakberi. Here’s the first:

Top off with Italian sparkling lemonade
Basil to taste muddled with Stoli Blakberi

The Perfect Mint Julep

Just in time for the derby, this involved, but oh so worth it julep recipe comes to us form the folks at Maker’s Mark. I think they know a bit about mint juleps.


    1 liter Makers Mark
    Lots of fresh spearmint
    Distilled water
    Granulated sugar
    Powdered sugar

Smoky Martini – Palomino, San Francisco

After a meeting, we ended up at Palomino on San Francisco’s Embarcadero.The place is known for a great bar, wonderful bay views and innovative cocktails. Apple Pie Shot

Elizabeth sent us this “build in the mouth” shot. Yes, you mix it right into the drinkers mouth. Of course, shaken over ice and served in a shot glass works too.


    ½ oz Captain Morgan spiced rum
    ½ oz apple juice
    Whipped cream


Pour apple juice into mouth, followed by the Captain Morgan, and top it off with some whipped cream and cinnamon. Close mouth and swish and swallow.
