This champagne cocktail is inspired by ri(1) rye whiskey, which I used in this recipe. It has a light flavor without being too sweet or too weak, which is the downfall of some champagne cocktails.
The geniuses at the Food Network came up with this simple but intriguing beer cocktail. The recipe calls for a chocolate stout. I’d recommend one by Rogue Ales or Wells & Young’s Brewing Company. Photo courtesy of Food Network.
1 cup chilled Prosecco (Italian sparkling white wine)
2 tablespoons chilled vodka
1/3 cup frozen lemon sorbet
1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh mint leaves
Pour the Prosecco and vodka into 2 Champagne flutes, diving equally. Spoon a scoop of sorbet into each flute. Sprinkle with mint and serve immediately
