This drink is a twist on the classic Manhattan cocktail. As you probably guessed its made with Mezcal replacing the Bourbon or Rye. In this case I used Scorpion Reposado that is aged in oak casks for 6 months which gives it a smokey flavor but, also nice warm wood tones as well.
- 2.5oz Scorpion Reposado Mezcal
- 1.5oz Antica Formula Carpano (Sweet Vermouth)
- 2 Dashes of Homemade Cherry Bitters
- Garnish: a Maraschino Cherry
In a pint glass combine all ingredients and add 4-5 ice cubes. Stir around 30 rotations then pour into a 5oz Martini or Manhattan glass. Add Maraschino cherry, sip and enjoy
