I needed a champagne cocktail to brighten a dreary winter day. This recipe uses in-season Meyer lemons and Galliano herbal liqueur along with champagne. It’s dry and a bit tart, which is just what I wanted. If you prefer a little sweetness, add a splash or two of simple syrup.
- ½ oz Meyer lemon juice
- ½ oz Galliano liqueur
- Sparkling wine (brut)
Pour the juice and liqueur in a champagne flute, and top off with chilled sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
