Tao Night Club in the Venetian Hotel is amazingly decorated with an Asian theme. Think lots of candles and lots of Buddhas, kinda like a Temple. This three-story behemoth of a club was ranked one of the top 100 bars and clubs in the US for 2007. (The photo above is from the balcony. Nice view!)
This week DOTW was in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada, for the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade show. And what a show it is! We were immediately greeted by pumping club music, hip modern booths and flowing samples of every kind of liquor, beer and mixer imaginable.
Our first stop was at PINK Vodka (pictured left), which is infused with caffeine & guarana, perfect for an early Vegas morning. OK, it was 11 O’Clock. They … Read more

The Franciscan is a San Francisco classic located right in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf. I feel it has the best food, views and martinis on the Wharf.

Lime squeeze (garnish)
In a shaker with ice combine tequila, triple sec, & lime juice. Shake well a … Read more
Great spot on the 101 in Marin where Sausalito and Mill Valley meet. It is a classic American roadhouse with a NorCal twist. Lots of wood, leather and stuffed animals on the walls. Plus it has great food and greater martinis!
Robert from gigfy.com, which stands for “Guinness is Good for You,” sends us the Trojan Horse. A simple mixed drink of Guinness Stout and cola, this a popular summertime drink in the UK and Northern Ireland and is a great way to add some “refreshment” to your Guinness.
½ pint Guinness Stout
½ pint cola (Pepsi or Coke)
Pour the Guinness into a pint glass or beer mug. Top with the cola.
This week’s video is a cheeky European commercial starring George Clooney. Martini vermouth is the subject of this swanky episode.
