Cultured Spirit

I think that yogurt in cocktails is a wonderful marriage. It goes together very well during the summer season and is one of my favorite combinations. The sweetness of aged rum and fresh pineapple gives this Cultured Spirit very interesting layers.

Happy Pina Colada Day!

post iconJuly 10th marks Pina Colada Day! The Pina Colada is the perfect blend of pineapple, coconut cream, rum and ice! I have to admit that a virgin Pina Colada (without the rum) is pretty delicious as well. Thanks to some medical issues and crazy antibiotics, I was forced to drink virgin drinks on a recent vacation. The virgin Pina Colada was the best of the bunch. Given the heatwave sweeping America, a Pina Colada would be the perfect way to keep the whole family cool and refreshed with virgin Pina Coladas for the kiddies and Pina Coladas with kick from the parents. …Read More

Brass Monkey

post icon

We were going to do a Cinco de Mayo Drink, but felt this would be more appropriate today.  There are a number of drinks named the Brass Monkey.  We think the Beastie Boys would have been drinking this  recipe, equal parts mart liquor and orange juice. Not for the faint of heart.

We like the variation below too.

RIP MCA
