Tequlia Honored

Blue Agave

The precious fields of blue agave plants that surround the town of Tequila have been added to the UN’s list of World Heritage Sites. Tequila lies in the state of Jalisco about 50 miles Northeast of Guadalajara is the center of the Tequila industry and the only place in the world that this wonderful juice we know and love can be made.

The agave plant, often mistaken for a cactus, is actually a related to the lily. Although there are many species of agave plants, Tequila can be made only from the sap of the Blie Agave. The sap is fremented and then distilled into the liquid gold we all know and love.

So now, as you are on your 4th shot it is a cultural experience.
