Mexican Hot Chocolate - This Week’s Drink Recipe
OK, I took a bit of a break, but I’ve been traveling. Got that old day job to take care of, ya know. While I was back in New York City, I needed this week’s drink to combat the chill and quench my thirst for Tequila.
Tequila (this recipe uses Hornitos Plata)
2 cups milk
1 disk of Mexican chocolate
Whipped cream
Warm the milk and chocolate in a saucepan. Stir with a whisk until the chocolate is melted and the mixture begins to boil. Remove from the heat and froth the chocolate with a whisk.
Add one part Hornitos Plata for every five parts of hot chocolate. Finish with dollop of whipped cream.
