Funny Cocktails

Aside from being delicious, cocktails can also be hilarious.

Eric Felten wrote an interesting piece for the Wall Street Journal about great comedy moments involving cocktails.

From Daffy Duck’s “Drip-Along Daffy” to Homer Simpson inventions such as “The Flaming Homer” (aka “The Flaming Moe”) — the cocktail holds a special place in the comedy world.

He recounts a particularly hilarious cocktail featured in the original “Nutty Professor” film:

He demonstrates his bad-boy bona-fides by grabbing the bartender and demanding an Alaskan Polar Bear Heater, which he specifies to the stumped barman: two shots of vodka, a little rum, bitters, a smidgen of vinegar, a shot of vermouth, a shot of gin, a shot of Scotch, a little brandy, lemon peel, orange peel, cherry, and some more Scotch.
