Mixology Monday - Long Island Iced Tea

mixology mondayThis month’s Mixology Monday theme is “Guilty Pleasures”. There are so many cocktails that fit the bill, it was hard to pick just one. After going through the archive, I landed on the ultimate guilty pleasure - The Long Island Iced Tea. Equal parts of Vodka, Gin, Rum, Tequila and Triple Sec all topped with Sweet & Sour and Cola. This drink got me through college and beyond, but in my advanced years I gravitate towards martinis’ that look my age. Still, every once in a while a Long Island Iced Tea is in order. Typically, I find myself in a college bar, but this is where they are best. If served in a mason jar, even better.
