Looking for a new way to add vegetables to your diet? Try this carrot cocktail. We can’t promise it’s good for you, but it sure is good.

The sweet vegetable flavor that shines through makes this a good alternative to brunch cocktail stalwarts like the Bloody Mary and Mimosa. You can cut back on the gin if you don’t want a drink this strong. A sprinkling of cinnamon on top, and it might remind you of carrot cake with a kick.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz gin
  • 1 ½ oz fresh carrot juice
  • ½ oz ginger liqueur

Instructions

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into cocktail glass over ice. Optional: Sprinkle some cinnamon on top.

We juiced some carrots ourselves and used Beefeater 24 gin and Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur. We chose this gin is a little less dry than some other brands. You can substitute store-bought carrot juice and your favorite brands and adjust to taste if needed.
