January is National Hot Tea Month and there’s no better way to celebrate than to jump right in and start enjoying some piping hot cocktails!

Tea dates as far back as the 10th century and has been a popular beverage in many cultures. It’s packed with antioxidants, flavonoids and has even been proven to improve the body’s natural defenses against bacteria and viruses. So, while you’re digging into these recipes remember that you’re also doing something nice for your body going into 2012.

  • Mountain Teawhisky and blackberry brandy make this tea cocktail sweet and rich!
  • Spiced Holiday Punch — there’s always a reason to celebrate with this spicy rum drink spiced with cardamom and cloves.
  • Hound’s Tooth Toddy — this twist on a classic toddy uses ginger-infused vodka and lemon for a fresh taste. Mmm!
  • Green Acre Punch — this punch uses hot green tea in the recipe but is actually served cold.
