Angel’s Envy Bourbon Review

Angel’s Envy is a new entrant in the bourbon market launched in 2010 by Lincoln Henderson, a master distiller with over 40 years in the business. Angel’s Envy has many unique qualities from its distiller to its finish in port barrels to its bottle inspired by early 20th century whiskey bottles. Each bottle is stamped with a set of angel’s wings, which are more commonly seen on the backs of strippers these days than bottles of alcohol.

Dubbed the “first super premium bourbon,” Angel’s Envy refers to lovely liquid left after the angels take their share.

Angel’s Envy is an unfiltered bourbon (shake the bottle and see the essence) and dark amber in color. The Angel’s Envy has an aroma of caramel, apricot, vanilla and port with tasting notes of caramel, cocoa, vanilla, apricot, peach, port and a bit of nuttiness.

Angel’s Envy is wonderful neat, which I don’t say about many bourbons. Just a splash of water is all that is needed. Maybe one ice cube, tops. It also mixes into some nice cocktails.

Suggested retail price of $44.99.
