Apple Irish Coffee
Winter comes back with vengeance, luckily we got this recipe created by mixologist Daniel Hyatt of Alembic in San Francisco. Sure, there’s no Irish Whiskey, but the 100 proof Laird’s Applejack gives it a nice kick. The combo of Baileys & Lairds really makes this a twist on the classic Irish Coffee. And it’ll warm ya right up!

Of course, you’ll want to keep doing all the other things you need … Read more
Brandy Crusta
I love a nice Cognac cocktail in the winter! Here’s a classic that you don’t see around much that’s worth a try. The Brandy Crusta is a 19th-century cocktail that was the predecessor to the Sidecar. Like many great cocktails, it originated in New Orleans, so Peychaud’s is the perfect bitters for this concoction. Courtesy of Absolut Vodka.… Read more

Cocktail Week in San Francisco kicked off this week in the Mission Street digs of the new Boothby Center for the Beverage Arts. The Center is the brain child of Barbary Coast Conservancy of the American Cocktail founders H. Joseph Ehrmann (Elixir), Jeff Hollinger (Comstock Saloon), Duggan McDonnell (Cantina). The yet-to-be-finished space promises to be the gathering and educational space for San Francisco’s exploding mixology scene. We can’t wait!
