Great White
Friday, January 25th, 2008This week we feature a new rum drink sent in by Jennifer. The mix of spiced rum, vanilla, coconut milk and nutmeg makes me think back to warm Caribbean afternoons siting on the beach and drinking one of these …
1 1/2 oz. Spiced Rum
3/4 oz. Vanilla syrup (like the kind used in coffee drinks)
3 oz. coconut milk
Dash of nutmeg (garnish)
Combine the rum, vanilla syrup, and coconut milk in a shaker with ice. Shake to blend. Strain and serve in a Collins or other tall glass filled with ice.
Garnish with nutmeg.
Delish!! Creamy and mild, with just a little spice.
Thanks Jennifer!

As we close the bar on 2007, I felt it appropriate to take a look back. Sure everyone does these lists, but it is fun to look at the year that was. I I figure, hey! why not?
Turning through the Sunday paper I ran across this classic Holiday recipe for rum cake. Light, moist and full of Rum. Ooh, and a wonderful Rum glaze! What did you expect form the House of Bacardi?
It’s Turkey Day. I’m just about to go get my eat on, but wanted to wish you all a safe and Happy Turkey Day!
