Hangover Helper - Grape Juice

Monday, August 29th, 2005

I usually drink a welchs grape juice first think in the morning..the
philosphy behind that is..alcohol is made up of primarily sugar and
when you drink your sugar level rises and causes at times a person to
become drunk. The next morning your body takes a sugar dump and thats
where the headache comes in. By drinking the grape juice..you bring
your sugar level back to where it was the night before without the
after effects.

Works for me!! Thanks Babs

Low Carb Drinks

Monday, February 23rd, 2004

Q: Cheers to ya, was wondering about low calorie liquors and drinks, yes I’m one of the millions on the Atkins diet and I need to keep my buzz up nightly. I hear scotch is a good one, but wow! $$$$. Any suggestions.

A: Vodka is very low in carbs as is red wine. Pretty much any clear spririt Made from grain are going to be OK. Drinks that have had alot of sugar added (i.e. liqueurs) are going to be higher in carbs.
